Clayton High senior Gary Campbell recently signed a letter of intent to play tennis at North Carolina Central University.
Campbell excelled at tennis in his time at Clayton High. He was a part of the All-Conference tennis team for four years, and was a one-time Conference Doubles Champion.
Campbell also considered attending several universities to play tennis including Gardner-Webb University, UNC-Charlotte, and Queens University. Campbell said he made his decisions to attend NCCU based on the university’s coaching staff.
Campbell plans to major in finance. He said he looks forward to improving his second serve and volleys at the college level.
